Costco Removes Seal Oil Capsules From Their St. John's, Newfoundland Canada Warehouse Location: Corrupt Canadian Government Threatens With Boycott

The email message noted below is an especially personal one for me. I was directly involved in the negotiations with Costco to get them to remove seal oil capsules from their shelves in St. John's, Newfoundland and now the provincial government of Newfoundland and the federal government are fighting back: http://www.cbc.ca/nl/story/nf_costco_williams_20060331.html This is an unbelievable situation. Government should exist for one purpose - to govern, not to pick sides and not to promote private business enterprises in Canada and especially not at the expense of the taxpayer.

If the images of 12 day old seals being bludgeoned with bloody clubs bothers you then now is the time to act and you don't have to travel to the ice floes to be effective. Write to Costco and thank them for their compassionate and morally correct decision and if you are a Costco member it would be a good idea to include this information in your letter. The details as to how to conveniently do this via email are mentioned below.

The old adage of voting with your dollars presently could not be truer, if you care about the seals choose to shop at locations that support your way of thinking, do business with the compassionate.

Costco Has pulled Seal Oil capsules from their shelf in their Newfoundland outlets. This is a great victory for us.
The Premier of Newfoundland is calling for boycott of Costco in Newfoundland and the Canadian Minister of Fisheries is demanding a meeting with Costco Executives to try and reverse the decision.

Apparently Costco has received about 150 protest messages from pro-sealers.

We need to send a message to Costco that we applaud this decision.
