Keep Up the Pressure: More EASY Actions for Wolves to Prevent Obama from letting them all Die

As you’ve likely heard, very soon the new Interior secretary will decide if the Obama govt. will fully delist THE REST OF THE wolves in the U.S..  Of course, this will lead to a giant massacre from sick and twisted sadists in this country.  Most of the message below is directed to Idaho, but the action link at the bottom will allow you to state your concern in general about delisting for the whole country.

Also, please see the other actions below, including a petition to Ban Inhumane Cruelty Traps and another way to contact the federal govt. to let them know to not delist wolves for the rest of the country.

More actions. This reminds me that Idaho's wolf massacre is nonstop. We can't forget about Idaho. The state is run by some of the cruelest most brutal people on earth. If you call the Governor’s office , the woman who usually answers the phone will make your skin crawl . When I first called Idaho , a young woman answered , and apologized for her state . She said we aren't all like that . She has never answered that phone again. Please watch for potatoes , if the state isn't clear , call the supplier . Please stop eating beef , buying American wool , and if you can't be certain that your gem stones are not Idaho or Montana.. leave them on the jewelers counter.

EASY ACTIONS

All of the SIMPLE ACTIONS can be done here - http://howlingforjustice.wordpress.com/take-action-for-wolves/   GO DO IT!!

Also, here is a related petition to Ban Inhumane Cruelty Traps - https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/ban-inhumane-cruelty-traps/6bZXWr07

Finally a TV Star Speaks Out Against “Bizarre Foods” on the Travel Channel: Now You Can too!

That show and that guy are just flat out sadists.  Seriously…making money and getting off on animal cruelty??!! Weird.

So, luckily, someone has finally spoken out.  “Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco (which I have no idea who she is but apparently she's a star), finally voiced her opinion.  Thanks Kaley!!

Now, guess what?  You can to at - http://www.travelchannel.com/about/viewer-relations Tell them that the host is a sadist who gets off on eating tortured beings and that their channel makes money off of torture.

NBC Catches Truth of What BLM Does to Wild Horses and Burros: Tell Them to Stop The Cruel Roundups that Lead to Slaughter!

Once you view it, please next Ask Secretary Jewell to Reform the BLM Program - https://secure2.convio.net/ida/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=2457&JServSessionIdr004=rgxbl7y2x4.app244b

From the site:

“NBC’s Today Show recently aired a segment titled “Wild But Not Free,” exposing the failure of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to effectively and humanely manage America’s wild horse and burro populations. In the coverage, music legend Carole King speaks out on behalf of wild horses, as does a former BLM employee who managed wild horses for 30 years.  A rancher who uses public lands is also interviewed and questions the value of horses stockpiled in BLM holding pens, saying “Let ‘em go to slaughterhouses.”

Footage provided by IDA’s coalition partner, the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign and other coalition members, captures the brutality of helicopter roundups conducted by the BLM. During these “gathers,” horses are stampeded and chased until they’re too exhausted to run, resulting in many horrific injuries and deaths. Family bands are heartlessly torn apart, never to see each other again.”

Speak Out Against Animal Mistreatment at UCSF University of California at San Francisco Labs

Yep, pretty bad place.  Easy action here: https://secure2.convio.net/ida/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=2455&autologin=true

From the site:

"These involved the agonizing fate of a female monkey who, apart from her multiple invasive brain surgeries in a Parkinson’s study, suffered further extreme distress due to painful complications from a piece of plastic acrylic left in her head for two years. Another monkey was subjected to multiple invasive brain surgeries and was deliberately deprived of food so that he would perform tasks while locked in a restraint chair. He lost 25 percent of his body weight. In another horrific incident, experimenters placed live newborn mice inside a freezer meant for dead animals.

Other recent violations include failures to maintain clean enclosures, failure to provide adequate pain relief to animals after invasive surgeries, and failure to provide sufficient food and water to animals, including an incident where mice died of dehydration because staff failed to notice that they didn’t have any water."

Help End Puppy Mills in U.S.: Pass the PUPS Act. AND, Video "Where Do Pet Store Puppies Come From?"

Very easy action.  Just go here:
https://bestfriends.capwiz.com/bestfriends//issues/alert/?alertID=62669601

To see the video Where Do Pet Store Puppies Come From?" that discusses the pet store and puppy mill connection, go to http://www.lifewithdogs.tv/2013/05/where-do-pet-store-puppies-come-from/

From the site:

“Under the current requirements of the Animal Welfare Act, commercial dog breeders who produce puppies for commercial resale through pet stores are required to be licensed and inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). However, breeders who sell puppies directly to the public — through classified ads, the Internet and other means — are exempt from any federal oversight.
Because the Animal Welfare Act was enacted well before the birth of the Internet, puppy millers who sell online are able to operate virtually under the radar and don’t even have to provide basic, humane standards of care for their dogs. This loophole has resulted in widespread abuse of dogs in breeding facilities.
Many puppies sold online come from puppy mills, where the conditions are often unsanitary, overcrowded and inhumane. Breeding dogs in mills are typically forced to live their entire lives in small cages with no opportunity for exercise, insufficient veterinary care and minimal human interaction. As a result, puppies purchased online often arrive at their new homes unsocialized, sick or dying, and when purchasers are unable to shoulder the financial and emotional burden of caring for them, many of these puppies are surrendered to our overcrowded shelters.”

Quick, Easy Actions: Keep Wolves from Losing Protection; Stop Horse Slaughter; Save Elephant “Lucky” from San Antonio Zoo

Easy actions!  Please do them all!!  If you don’t, you’re just plain lazy…

“In a shocking move, the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) reportedly approved a request by the San Antonio Zoo to keep a 53-year-old female Asian elephant named Lucky in isolation. Lucky is now the only solitary female elephant in an AZA-accredited zoo in the U.S. The zoo's director told the media that Lucky will remain at the zoo until she dies. The zoo's other elephant, Queenie, died in March.
No elephant should ever be held in solitary confinement. Female elephants are profoundly social - they live in matriarchal, multi-generational herds in the wild that include sisters, aunts, nieces, and nephews.”

When Wolves Lose Endangered Species Act Protection, We Lose Wolves! https://secure2.convio.net/ida/site/Advocacy?pagename=homepage&page=UserAction&id=2445&autologin=true

“The United States Fish and Wildlife Services (USFWS) has announced a plan to delist all wolves throughout the United States (except Mexican wolves) who are currently protected by the Endangered Species Act. This reckless and politically motivated plan will intensify the ongoing slaughter of wolves. We have already seen tragedy in western states where hateful anti-wolf rhetoric and politics trump ethics and science.
When wolves lost their ESA protection in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming, these states immediately began to allow a recreational slaughter. Wolves are being injured and killed by bow hunters, gunned down by trophy hunters, tortured by trappers in steel-jaw foothold traps and snares, and subjected to other brutal "management" methods, including aerial gunning. More than 1,100 wolves have been killed in these states since Congress took ESA protection away from them in 2011.”

Urge your U.S. Senators and Representative to support the Safeguard American Food Exports (SAFE) Act, which would ban horse slaughter domestically and outlaw the transport of horses abroad for the purpose of slaughter for human consumption - https://secure2.convio.net/ida/site/Advocacy?pagename=homepage&page=UserAction&id=2392&autologin=true

“More than 100,000 horses are exported every year from the U.S. to Canada and Mexico for slaughter. U.S. residents only, urge your U.S. Senators and Representative to support the Safeguard American Food Exports (SAFE) Act, which would ban horse slaughter domestically and outlaw the transport of horses abroad for the purpose of slaughter for human consumption. This important piece of legislation is languishing in committee. Legislators need to hear how important the SAFE Act is to you.”

Florida Wants to Further Destroy Manatees: HB 999 will Allow the Rich to Get Richer and Kill Manatees

If in or know anyone in Florida, let them know about HB 999.  Read more below and visit this link for more info: http://gawker.com/manatees-are-dying-off-and-florida-is-determined-to-sp-489114098?utm_campaign=socialflow_gawker_facebook&utm_source=gawker_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow

“On the last day of its annual session, the state Legislature is expected to pass HB 999, a bill that would bar local and county governments from setting their own standards for water quality and wetlands construction—assuming those standards are higher than the state's relatively lax requirements, that is.

The proposed law would also severely limit "testing, sampling, collection, or analysis" of state waters. And it would make about two dozen existing regional water districts "exempt from further wetlands or water quality regulations." One of its key sponsors, Rep. Jimmy Patronis, is the state chairman for the conservative, pro-business American Legislative Exchange Council, and his family owns a swath of Northwest Florida that it pimps out for water-bottling and clear-cutting.

The bill could obliterate the already-threatened Florida manatee, which subsists on quickly disappearing river grasses. In fact, 582 of the burly mammals have died so far in 2013—as much as 19 percent of the entire adult population—thanks to a shrinking supply of food and the proliferation of deadly algae blooms like red tide in state waters.”

Awesome Photo Shows Matador Torero Álvaro Múnera’s Moment of Enlightenment on the Horror of Bullfighting: Drops in Remorse in Front of the Bull

Two things about this photo.  One, you can see his moment of enlightenment and shame and what he has done in his career.  His heart wins over.  Two, the bull, who is injured, senses his mood, and appears to move in to console him.  The bull easily could have mauled him, but he doesn’t, based on its sensitivity to the mood of Munera. Awesome.

Here is some writing on the photo, found at https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=536580203040666&set=a.100434626655228.826.100000660727764&type=1&ref=nf.  I’ve also posted in the photo below.

This incredible photo marks the end of Matador Torero Álvaro Múnera’s career. He collapsed in remorse mid-fight when he realized he was having to prompt this otherwise gentle beast to fight. He went on to become an avid opponent of bullfights. Even grievously wounded by picadors, he did not attack this man.

Torrero Munera is quoted as saying of this moment: “And suddenly, I looked at the bull. He had this innocence that all animals have in their eyes, and he looked at me with this pleading. It was like a cry for justice, deep down inside of me. I describe it as being like a prayer - because if one confesses, it is hoped, that one is forgiven. I felt like the worst shit on earth.”

AKC (American Kennel Club) Caught Supporting breeders that Abuse and Neglect Dogs

Surprised?  Likely not.  It’s all about money to them.

“Some AKC breeders raising diseased dogs, malnourished, living in their own filth. It's so disturbing that now two of the country's largest animal welfare groups, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Humane Society, are condemning the AKC.”

Rhinos Extinct in Mozambique: Asian Demand Still Fueling Mass Elephant and Rhino Killings: Evil Cultures at it Again!

Sick, sick Asian cultures.  Their consistent selfishness and foolish beliefs drive this horrid genocide.  As soon as the demand from China, etc. (the cruelest countries on Earth) stops, this will do.  We can only hope for civility to take over there, but it likely won’t with their quack medical myths.

Two horrible stories on this issue.

The saddest I’ve seen in some time and PROOF that cannot be denied.  A baby elephant mourns over its dead mother.  Graphic proof of horror of the evil Asian demand for elephant tusks.  Brutal heart wrenching photos that show just how evil humans are.

Guess what?  Rhinos are now extinct in Mozambique.  Yep.  Good job humans and the idiot Asian demand for rhino horn based on quack science.

"The price of rhino horn has overtaken the price of gold as demand has burgeoned in Asian countries, mainly China and Vietnam, where consumers wrongly believe that the horn — made of the same substance as fingernails — has powerful healing properties.
